It seems that not all people know how to check for GOOGLE PLAY SYSTEM UPDATES.
It is crucial to your phone to make sure you keep it up to date.
There are 2 ways to check for it, About Phone in the software section, tap on Google play Services, it will take you to the update page, press the check for update button, EVEN IF IT SAYS DEVICE IS UP TO DATE.
The 2nd way, go to settings, Security and Privacy, Updates, open Updates, there you can check for security updates and Google Play System updates.
There is a reason that Google Play System updates are in the security and privacy section. It is important for this to be updated, it helps with all Google apps and services.
It seems like most people don't even know that they *should* look for the updates. I just always assume they come automatically, as they have been doing. When someone (you) posts that there's a new update, that's the only time I manually check.
