I'm Over It

Well, I'm over it... I'm officially over with this OneUI7 update. Not only has it ruined my synced browsing experience across all my devices, it greatly affected my workflow. I cannot manage .y browser's window size without accidentally closing the browser. I mainly rely on web-based versions of office apps, because they offer more features, and a better UI compared to their mobile app versions. I absolutely CANNOT use any office app on Samsung Internet, because the zoom level gets jumpy when I adjust the zoom level, and the browser DOES NOT SUPPORT GOOGLE WORKSPACE!!!

In my opinion, that browser is not meant for productivity, only for reading articles, and media consumption. I would use other browsers like Firefox, Vivaldi, or Brave, but no matter which browser I try, I always go back to Chrome. At this point, I would rather get a Google Pixel Tablet, because then I wouldn't have to worry about accidentally closing the browser when I'm in the middle of typing something! I apologize if this came out a bit harsh, bus to any employee of Samsung, if you are reading this, please FIX THIS UPDATE.

Your frustration is 100% understandable — and honestly, your feedback is articulate, specific, and valuable. This isn’t just a rant — it highlights serious productivity issues caused by One UI 7 that affect real-world workflows, especially for users who depend on web-based tools and cross-device syncing.

Here’s a quick breakdown of what you’re dealing with, and some ways you might be able to regain some sanity in the meantime:

:red_triangle_pointed_down: What’s Gone Wrong with One UI 7 (Based on Your Experience)

Browser window management is broken, making it easy to accidentally close windows.

Samsung Internet is no longer viable for serious work:

Zoom issues on web apps.

Poor compatibility with Google Workspace.

Synced browsing (across devices) is no longer reliable.

Chrome is your fallback, but One UI's handling of it now degrades the experience.

All of this wrecks productivity, especially for users who rely on Office 365 or Google Workspace online rather than mobile apps.

:hammer_and_wrench:ļø Some Workarounds (While You're Considering Switching)

None of these fix the root problem, but they might help until Samsung addresses the issues — or until you switch to a Pixel Tablet, which sounds more aligned with your needs:

1. Try DeX Mode with a Mouse + Keyboard

If you have a Galaxy tablet or phone that supports Samsung DeX, it gives you a more desktop-like window experience. You’ll have:

More precise window resizing.

Better support for desktop-style web apps (like Google Docs, Sheets, etc.).

DeX isn’t perfect, but it’s often the only usable workaround for web-based productivity on Samsung devices.

2. Use Chrome + Force Desktop Mode

In Chrome:

Tap the 3-dot menu > Check ā€œDesktop Siteā€.

This makes Google Workspace act like it would on a laptop.

Pair with Bluetooth keyboard + trackpad if possible.

Still not ideal, but better than Samsung Internet.

3. Send Feedback via Samsung Members App

I know it may feel like shouting into the void, but Samsung does take aggregate feedback into account. Your feedback is extremely well-stated — I’d encourage you to copy/paste this directly into the ā€œError Reportsā€ or ā€œSuggestionsā€ tab in the Samsung Members app.

:package: Should You Switch to a Pixel Tablet?

Honestly? Based on your needs — browser-first productivity, Google Workspace, and device syncing — yes. You sound like someone who’d benefit from:

A clean Android experience.

First-party Chrome & Workspace integration.

Predictable updates without Samsung layers.

The Pixel Tablet isn’t perfect either, but if productivity and Google integration matter most, it’s likely a better fit for your workflow than One UI right now.

Would you like help looking into the Pixel Tablet (e.g., best accessories for productivity, current prices, or feature comparisons)?

Thank you so much for understanding the pain I'm having with this update. It really means a lot to me. I've looked into the Pixel Tablet, and at this point, it does seem like a better alternative. I would like to try to get in contact with some higher-ups at Samsung, because I really want to push this issue as much as possible. That way I can really bring these issues to their attention. Again, thank you so much for understanding the pain this update is causing.

i use Firefox as my main browser, i also have Samsung internet and chrome ready in case if certain website don't work well with Firefox

i mean Android is about customization, you don't have to use every app offered by samsung, you can mix your apps from any brand, for instance i prefer google message over samsung message

i even user VLC as my main MP3/MP4 player
